The start date is set to today when the page opens. Pick the date of your event as the End date and the calculator shows how many days are left, along with the weeks, the weekdays and the weekend days in between. If the date has already passed, the calculator swaps the dates and shows how long ago it was.
You can use it for a birthday, a holiday, a wedding, an exam, a flight, a due date or a deadline. To count between two dates that are not today, use the days between dates calculator.
Common questions
How many days until a date from today?
Choose the date as the end date. The number at the top is the days from today, not counting the end date unless you tick Include the end date.
Does the countdown include today?
No. Today is the starting point, so tomorrow is 1 day away. Tick Include the end date if you want to count the event day too.
How many working days until a deadline?
Look at the Weekdays (Mon–Fri) figure, or open the business days calculator. Public holidays are not removed.
Does it count the leap day?
Yes. February 29 is counted in leap years.
